Juan Cúneo Solari founded Casas del Bosque in 1993, at a time when the Chilean wine industry was pursuing quantity over quality. His commitment to quality is evident in the Gran Reserva Cabernet, a wine which is a great exponent of this characteristic variety of Chile that finds one of its most typical expressions in the Maipo Valley.

APPEARANCE Deep red-purple color.

NOSE On the nose this Maipo Cabernet Sauvignon is characterized by scents of cassis and mint. Some dried fig and raspberry appear as well, with this vintage.

PALATE In the mouth, the rich and ripe fruit blends effortlessly with vanilla and spice derived from oak barrels. This wine is dense and concentrated, with good length and balance.

AGEING Aged in a mixture of 20% new and 80% used French oak barrels for 11 months.

PAIRING Excellent with grilled lamb or any roasted red meats and cheeses.
