Tilia is produced by world-famous Bodega Catena Zapata.   Founded in 1902, Argentina’s Bodega Catena Zapata is known for its pioneering role in resurrecting Malbec and in discovering extreme high altitude terroirs in the Andean foothills of Mendoza.

FERMENTATION Fermented at max. temp. 27-29 °C, for 12 days with maceration of 15-20 days in stainless steel tanks. 

AGING: 6 months in French Oak. 

ALCOHOL 13 % vol

ACIDITY / PH 5,3 / 3,73

TASTING NOTES Bright red color with intense violet hues. Fresh nose of violets and rich plum marmalade laced with chocolate and vanilla oak flavors. Very dark, eathy and spicy.  A soft, sweet entry leads to a well-structured and long, persistent wine. Round, silky tannins.

FOOD PAIRING This Malbec pairs nicely with a meat dish that mirrors its tangy berry flavors like Cranberry Pot Roast or Roast Duck with Sour Cherry sauce.
